Creating a School

Once upon a time, a group of parents got together to try to put together a school for their children. They came from different backgrounds and different countries, and they had different interests in their lives. But they all wanted their children to have a school that made their hearts sing. They wanted a school where their children learned at their own pace, following their curiosity, exploring their creativity, finding their place in world.
Ok, so this is a bit cliché (in my defense I am a scientist, not a writer) but it is not a fairy tale. It is very real, and happening right now in St Andrews, Scotland. We are trying to launch a Montessori School. We have the materials, and hopefully a very central and nice location (more news on that soon), we have a part time Montessori teacher and three volunteers, we have an awesome group of children. But we need more children and more staff to make this work.
This blog will tell the story of the birth and growth of this school. We are writing this in the hope of finding other like-minded souls who want to join us. So if you have children between 3 and 6 and live in Fife, think about it...  or if you are a Montessori trained teacher and want to be our partner in this venture...
